We are pleased to announce that the ENVIRA2019, the International Conference on Environmental Radioactivity: Variations of Environmental Radionuclides will be organized by the Nuclear Physics Institute of the Czech Academy of Sciences and by the Czech Technical University on 8-13 September, 2019. The venue and the topics were confirmed at the closing session of the ENVIRA2017 conference held in Vilnius (Lithuania) in May 2017.

Following traditions of previous ENVIRA conferences, the ENVIRA2019 will consist of invited talks on relevant environmental radioactivity and radioanalytical topics, given by prominent representatives of the field, as well as oral and poster contributions in various environmental radioactivity areas. The conference will highlight the new scientific knowledge on the application of natural and anthropogenic radionuclides as tracers of processes in the terrestrial (atmosphere, hydrosphere, biosphere, pedosphere, etc.) and marine (seawater, marine biota, sediments, etc.) environments. The latest technological innovations in low-level radioactivity detection techniques including radiometrics and low-energy and high-energy mass spectrometry methods, in situ measuring techniques, continuous monitoring systems, and other recent analytical developments will be included in the conference program as well. Radioecological topics, protection of the total environment against radiation including Chernobyl and Fukushima impacts on the environment, decontamination of nuclear reactors, waste management and remediation actions on contaminated territories will be also covered.

Contributions on all these aspects of environmental radioactivity research are welcome via submissions of abstracts. The deadline for abstract submission will be May 31, 2019. The authors will be informed within month on acceptance of abstracts.

The deadline for receipt of manuscripts will be October 31, 2019. The submitted papers will be published either in the Journal of Environmental Radioactivity or in the Conference Proceedings.

More detailed information is available on the conference web site (www.envira2019.cz). Do not hesitate to contact us (info@envira2019.cz) if you need more information.

We are looking forward to seeing you in Prague!
